Do any of you know if the cargo net pet partitions from the A4 & A6 Avant Wagons can fit/convert to work with the Q5?
The OEM Q5 partition (8R0861691A4PK) is out of my budget at $400, but there seem to be audi wagon partitions at palatable prices, especially on the secondary market. I don't have access to an Avant to compare measurements, or try a swap. From photos it appears that the headliner slot attachments and partition inserts are of the same design. Obviously this is a precise fit, but it wouldn't surprise me if Audi had a standard size for the metal headliner insert.
Additionally has anyone tried and successfully converted a VW or alternative brands partition with success?
Attached are two images. The first is the OEM Q5 partition (Note: I don't really need the full length functionality). The second image is the Avant partition.
