Default Battery Gauge & Conv Windows

This is more of an FYI than anything. I just did some VAG-COM mods to my new '15 Q5 and one that used to work but no longer seems to is the battery gauge. You can still turn it on in the hidden menu but it doesn't show up in car settings even after an MMI reset.

I found a reference to this being removed on another site for the '14MY but I was hoping it was just a mistake. Unfortunately it's not, as I said you can turn it on but they must have removed the menu code so nothing is paying attention to the setting.

Not the end of the world but kind of disappointing I always liked having that on my previous Q5.

One other interesting thing is that when I enabled the convenience window option the menu choice is different looking from other menu choices. It's still under car settings but it now turns on a menu and sub menu labeled "Long Key Press" with a little icon of the key fob. Opening that menu brings up the window settings.

Yeah it's weird some of the changes in the screens. Most of them make total sense but then there are others that just are weird. For instance the seat heaters in my '10 would display the setting on both the AC LCD and the MMI screen, on this they just do it on the AC LCD and it's only got 3 settings instead of 6. Ok I really could care less but that's such an odd thing to change.

Also I noticed under central locking there is no longer an option to turn off the auto locks. Yet my wife's '15 S4 still has that option. I always would make sure to turn them off if I was giving it to a car wash.
