If you open the drivers door while in drive the EPB automatically engages. This is not the case on my previous C6 A6 and my B8 S4. I was stopped at the time I was testing it and there is no logical reason to open the drivers door while moving except perhaps accidentally at 1mph, but I am interested to know if the EPB would clamp on if the door was opened while moving a bit faster...it would certainly be a startling experience.

I think it's super annoying because I often will open my door when parking against a curb or tight space to check the lines. There is no reason to have my parking brake slam on when I'm clearly in control! This is probably my #1 complaint with my SQ5.
