Is it possible to remove the chrome from the handle on 2015?

Does it seem like a overlay? Maybe can see better if you pull the handle...

spijun, can you check in ETKA if it's a normal handle with a simple chrome overlay?

So are all 2015 SQ5s coming with the chrome top door handles now or will the Black Optics package take you back to body color like it does the mirrors? My dealer can't find anything in the literature he has of when the change took place and how to possibly order without the chrome.

So I called Audi customer support to find out if it was possible to order an SQ5 without the chrome top door handles. They are standard now, the Black Optics package will not remove them and there's no standard way to order them in body color. They did suggest that I could try using the Audi Exclusive program to order them that way, but it may cost a significant amount of money.

So, they added the Black Optics package this year and then managed to stick more chrome on the vehicle that there's really no reasonable way of removing.

My dealer accepted to swap them with the Q5 2014 they had in the show room. :-)

Surprisingly, you don't need to remove door panels to remove/install them.

It'll be the end of Oct before mine is here at the earliest, doubt there will be any 14s left at the point. Did they have to swap the entire door handle or could you just swap the chrome piece?
