Default Traffic Sign Recognition

Does anyone know if "traffic sign recognition" is supported in the 2020 Audi Q3? If so, how does one enable this function?

Traffic sign recognition is not available on the Q3 - such as speed limit recognition, etc. Only available on Q7 and Q8 with HUD.

That said, then how does one enable it. Looking at Audi Tech videos online, followed the instructions, dialed to Driver Assist in the virtual cockpit, then to traffic sign recognition - where I got a message that traffic sign recognition was unavailable - see owner's manual. I can find nothing in the owners manual on this topic!

Help!

What trim level Q3 do you have? Do you have the Prestige with Adaptive Cruise control?

It only works when you’re in big city like New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Ect

2019 Q3 with all of the bells and whistles, seems to be work when there are traffic signs or signals that have this interactive function nearby, nothing where I live but when I travel to Ottawa on certain roads the traffic light thingy works, ie: tells you what speed to maintain to hit green light or countdown to green also a visual of a traffic light.

I know this to be true of the traffic lights. But I thought that the sign recognition was independent of that. Oh well!

Traffic sign recognition is supported using a camera mounted behind the rearview mirror and is not tied to a region. MobileEye is the system behind it: https://www.mobileye.com/our-technology/
