Options and Colors
Attached is what I received as the 2015 Audi Q3 options and colors.
I like the price, but have mixed feelings about the rest - motor, transmission and old MMI.

Pricing seems right, but this car needs a better motor and transmission ! Right now it would be a nice package for my mother...
Audi should at least offer an upgrade on the motor and transmission, right now it is only a luxurious Tiguan...

It is of course based on the Tiguan platform that is very old and not the new A3 platform.
I have waited so long for this car, and now we are not getting the car I have been waiting for.

And we are expecting a new Tiguan soon on a new platform !
The new Tiguan might be more interesting when it will come out.
I think I will pass on the Q3 for now, maybe when they come up with gen 2 it will be worth it in a few years. Too bad, it was the size I was looking for, maybe a used Q5 in the mean time !

... or the MB GLA due in September. I am quite impressed with what you get for $40,000. Even at the base price of around $34k it is well appointed with items such as power memory seats, auto windshield wipers and AWD. Acceleration to 60mph is around 2 second faster than the Q3.
Home Link is available, not as in the Q3 where it is not an even an option.
Sorry AudiUSA. You are just short-changing us.

The q3 has some flaws, yes. But the pricing is very competitive and it's still a good looking smaller SUV.
Go drive and look at a BMW X1 and see what you think to compare.
You can get a loaded prestige Q3 Quattro for just over 40k. The Q5 is about $8500 more money for the same options.
So that's a prett substantial savings. Audi knows the q3 isn't all new and it has some old bits. The q3 rides, drives and looks better than the tiquan.
I'm ok with using a garage opener and not going to kick up a fuss about home link. Half the people can't even get it programmed right.
Mercedes is still charging people $1500 for leather in 2015, so don't ever think you're getting something for free with the 3 pointed star.
