coming to the usa?

Looks like it's automatic only, at least for the "Vail" concept. Without a manual transmission, it's just not that interesting to me. I'll hold onto my 2006 BMW X3 manual another couple of years.

I spoke with the Audi Reps at the NAIAS in Detroit today. They confirmed that the Q3 will be available for dealer orders by the end of this year, arriving at dealers sometime in the spring 2013. The only powertrain planned at this time is the turbo five with Quattro! That's pretty surprising considering Audi's reluctance to give us their best stuff. Can't wait! And pricing has not been set, but expect "high 30's". Interesting that they're planning to position it right in line with the Q5.

And the saga continues . . .
Despite what the Audi rep told me, my local dealer said they were just informed that the Q3 was confirmed for the US, but not until model year 2015. He said dealers won't see them for at least two years! He also said that the turbo five will be available, but only in S or RS designation. According to him the standard motor will be the 2.0 TFSI from the A4/Q5. And his source for these updates . . . the reps that hosted the dealers at the NAIAS last week. That's right, the same people who told me a very different story just yesterday. I'm starting to think I can't trust any of them! They might just be making this **** up as they go!!!
