2019 USA Q3 release imminent? (pics of one in the USA)
Update: was brought to my attention that this isn't a USA spec one; so I guess it's just a test mule audi hq has up here in Herndon VA.
Kinda a repost from audizine but figured I'd throw it over here in case some of you don't read both sites... On my way to work there was the 2019 q3 just chilling on the side of the road at the entrance to my office park... Grabbed some photos if anyone wanted to see a USA prod one sitting around:

For me, the original Q3 looks confusingly different depending on the paint color. It somehow distorts the shadows and curves more than on other Audi models I am familiar with.
Seeing this Q3 in this same orange as a new Tiguan I walked around is interesting. I feel like I can understand the shape more than in other Q3 photos I've seen. What strikes me is just how similar the two cars are shaped, unlike with the old Tiguan and Q3. The boxy fender lines seem identical to my memory. I think the D pillar and rear hatch are raked more on the Q3, but not dramatically so.
I like how they've extended the front hood as the stub nose of the older Q3 is my least favorite part of its style. But, I feel like the changes to the rear has taken away a bit of its charm. It looks more like a generic boxy CUV in line with both the Tiguan and Q5. I wonder if they do this with the intention that eventual Q4 and Q2 will have more contrast as coupe-like shapes...

definitely coming, but not imminent - I'd guess a mid summer time release at the earliest

I've not really followed the Q3 too much, but what doesn't look like US spec? While i'm not really interested in one for myself; if the RSQ3 comes this way it would be tempting to jump from my sq5 after seeing how this one looked...

oh yea, no orange reflectors on the headlamps... I did think that badge looked a little different than in the past too..
Ohwell! Guess they brought over a european one to drive around here... We've got multiple etrons here too running around...
(I work a couple blocks down the street from Audi and VW's USA HQ in Herndon VA...)
