Re: Just a few more A2 pics...

Hi. Just bought an A2 sport. Pick it up in a week or so after the dealer has tidied up a few bits and pieces. It's a year old in 3 days time.

Will post up more pics when I get it home.

wow nice A2! Congrats and Welcome!!

I never saw an A2 like that! Is that OEM or aftermarket?
Love the rims to!
Do you have the OpenSky roof to?
Looking forward to the pics!

Re: wow nice A2! Congrats and Welcome!!

Thanks, The D.J.P.

The kit is/was available as an Audi accessory in the UK. I've only seen a handful with the kit on and was not previously too keen. However, when I saw it in Dolphin Grey something clicked and I had to buy it before someone else snapped it up!

The rims are OEM Sport spec in UK and are 17 inch, very similar to those on the TT/RS4. I like them too and need to make sure I get hold of some decent wheel cleaner!

Unfortunately it doesn't have opensky. To be honest, I struggled to find one with this option fitted and, as I wasn't buying new, it was a case of making do without it. That said, I may need to run a roof box on occassion as we've downsized from a Passat 1.8T estate and have a couple of small children - I've read somewhere that roof boxes don't agree with opensky - any views?

Will definitely post more pics when I get hold of the car in just over a weeks time.

Wow your lucky, we never got a package like that! I really love the side skirts!
I think you're right about the roofboxes, it's not possible at all. So you did the right thing, when you need some extra space every now and then.
Maybe you should try to get hold off some front fogs, I personally love them!

Enjoy your weekend!
cheers,

Re: wow nice A2! Congrats and Welcome!!

The majority of people seem to think the kit looks good but there are a few who think it spoils the lines of the A2. Each to their own I suppose.

I do like the front fogs and it's always confused me why they don't fit them as standard to the UK Sport model. I know I can get hold of them from Euro Car Parts in the UK for about £180 but that doesn't include wiring! Might look at alternatives.

Six days and counting until I get to pick it up.

You have a good weekend too.
Cheers

Congrats on your purchase it looks really nice.
I have been running a 1.4 A2 since May this year and i am really pleased with it. Mine is red, not to many about so it is nice to see them on the odd occasion that you do.
