STaSIS Motorsports anounces 3 car driver line up
STaSIS Motorsports is very pleased to announce the final driver line up for the 2006 season.
We have recently signed Chip Herr to fill out our team for the season. With this addition we feel STaSIS has a very good chance at the Drivers and Manufactures Titles. Chip has driven our cars 3 times in the past and in those three events he got on the podium twice. He is extremely fast in the Audi's and should be a front runner through out the season. Chip joins "Fast" Freddy Baker whose very impressive experience yields a 70% podium rate out of 299 races. Additionally, Fred was a Porsche factory driver and has competed with and beat some of the biggest names in racing. He holds 13 track records and was the first to be inducted into the Cleveland Sports Legends Hall of Fame ahead of Roger Penske and Bobby Rahal. Jeff Courtney rounds out our driver line up. Jeff is competing for Rookie of The Year and has just come off a very successful year in the Panoz GT series where he won the Championship. Jeff tested extremely well in our cars and was putting times down at Infineon, a track he had never been on, in a car he had never been in, that would have put him on the podium in the 2005 event. Please come out and support the team as it should be a very good year for Audi in the Speed World Challenge Touring Car series. <img src="http://images2.fotki.com/v19/photos/6/673844/3312493/DSCF0015ed2sm-vi.jpg?500374"> |

I thought Chip was running the Ford Focus car for USAF? Regardless, nice!
|
Hope to see the TC show @ Infineon in June. is TC running Saturday or Sunday??
there was a thread here a while back, talking about how far off the NASCAR times the Speed GT (or TC) cars would do on the same track. I guess @ Infineon this year will be a fun way to compare.
I'm probably gonna be there on Sunday. Good luck! |
Nice! See you guys in Sebring this week!
