HELP!!! NEED AIR COMPRESSOR AND STRUT SOURCE FOR 2008 S8
 

2008 AUDI S8
just got off the phone with Audii service, I need to replace the drivers side strut and air compressor. The suspension failed and settled down on the car, had ton have ot towed to the dealership.
Any suggestions as to where I can purchase thes components at a reasonable price?
Audi wants about $2,000 for each component. The service tech even suggested I try to buy them elsewhere.

Try ebay. They should have a good used compressor and a strut. The strut used should go in the $400-600 range which is cheap and the compressor I don't know but you can find those components used for sure. I hope it works out. Worst case scenario, if you don't want to be bothered with the air setup you can get the quick struts all the way around in the $1300-1500 range and all you have to do is mount them on and you're done. Hope it helps.

Try replacing just the strut first. My dealer said that it was both and it turned out to be just the strut. I also used arnott and the strut came perfect and is working great! Less than half the price and had my indy install it for $200
