Upgrading a 95.5 UrS6 -

Let's say hypothetically I had a stock UrS6. Let's say I wanted to go the RS2 conversion route. Break it apart engine / suspension / brakes.

What is my required budget please?

I know there are different choices to be made in each category, but I need a general budget.

TIA.

You meant 95.5. Engine=$2500, Suspension = $1100, Brakes = $1200. Others will

disagree.

I agree

to disagree.

2500 buys you a turbo and a manifold, you still need software, injectors, fuel pump, etc...

germantoy 12-17-2007 03:15 PM

i can sell you a 450ish whp proven setup :)

SilberUrS6 12-17-2007 03:31 PM

And a bunch of little stuff you didn't think of in the first place, too.

Studs, gaskets, etc.

UrS4boy 12-17-2007 03:33 PM

So throw your numbers out there. I just wanted to get the *discussion* started.

You can find cheaper turbo and manifolds and go with Racetronix injectors, stock MAF and $500 or less s/w.

I did mean 95.5 - will correct that now

UR-Idiot Savant-S6 12-17-2007 03:38 PM

I've been sourcing parts for 2 years now..........

Now granted I'm looking for 400+ WHP but there is a ton of stuff to get to do it right. As SilberURS6 and kday said, tons of little things. Also............who's doing the work?

SilberUrS6 12-17-2007 03:38 PM

If you pop for the MAF...

...I'd guess engine is closer to the $4000 area.

005 pump, software, injectors, boost gauge, etc.

Suspension might be as close as $200 for '92 springs. RS2 and '92 stock springs would put the suspension on the hair edge, IMO. Maybe a little over.

Brakes - $100 more or less, and you're there.
