Steering wheel tilt

The steering wheel on my '07 telescopes and tilts just fine but the amount of tilt seems limited IMHO. I'm 6'1 with an athletic build but the lowest tilt position feels higher than what I'm use to. I realize I could move the seat upwards (towards the roof) but then my head would be hitting. Every car I've driven that allows adjustment of the wheel tilts much lower than my A8L. I don't want the wheel on my knees but two more inches would feel perfect. Is this just the design of the A8?

I have/had same problem and same height. I've solved it by lifting just the front part of my seat. It also better supports body while braking. Not rely Formula 1 position but on that line. :)

Ok, I guess I'll have to play with the seat more to find the sweet spot.

Thanks

For some reason, my car steering wheel tilts when I get out of the car but intermittently does not go back to position when I get in and start the car. I have to open the side compartment and press my seat position # and it goes where it should.

Anyone else experience this?

Yes I am as of recently having the same issue, sometimes it's auto sometimes it's not.....
