How long after drop-off until US delivery?
How long does it take after you drop off the car in Germany before you get it in the US (East coast). Any recent experience? Anybody really waited the 'official' 11-13 weeks?..
(Thinking about Q5 ED next spring/summer) If anybody can recommend a sales person at Schneider+Nelson in W Long Branch NJ - would be appreciated. |
I live in the West Coast and it took 9 weeks for me.
7/8 - dropped of at Nice Airport 7/24 - loaded onto the vessel Green Cove and departed Emden, Germany 7/26 - Bremerhaven, Germany 8/7 - Brunswick, GA 8/12-8/13 - Panama Canal 8/22 - unloaded in San Diego 9/7 - picked up at the dealership |
It all depends!
if no damage to the car average - Est coast - 1 month West coast - 2 month I remember case where est coast customer was waiting for 2 1/2 month. I remember case when more then 370 new M3 was damaged in New York port. First shipment of E90/E92 M3 And of course I remember case, when ship go down with 3000 new BMW Google: TRICOLOR disaster http://www.cargolaw.com/images/disas...Tricolor.2.GIF |

I've read about 19% VAT deposit that I need to leave with the dealer... Is it still required? I did not have to do this with BMW ED 2.5 years ago... |
