I have experience with forced induction modifications.
In general, cars that come with a supercharger or turbocharger can be modified to make more power- and those modifications have little or no downside. But adding forced induction to an engine is different. I would not add a supercharger to your RS5. It wasn't designed for it- so what you get are niggling problems. And niggling problems in an expensive car like the RS5 are hard to get over for most people. |
I havent had any issues with mine yet and I'm about 6000 miles in. Great acceleration and tons of power though out the band. I have no regrets.

It's all about the tune and how you do your upkeep. I would never do it to my RS5, but I have a Turboed Infiniti G35 that I have no problems, since turboing 5 years ago. With low PSI, and the fact your going with a supercharger, will keep torque down so you have less problems than if you were going with a turbo(which likes to make lots of it down low...). All in all, if you have the money and a very good tuner that knows the ends and outs of this V8, go for it.
