S Q5 rim size

I have an S Q5 coming at the end of october but would like to start looking for Winter rims now. Does anyone know the offest I'm looking for on a 20'' rim?

Stock specs are 21x8.5 +33 aor 20x8.5 +33.

You should be fine with any offset beyond +40 or so, but of course you'll always want confirmation from aftermarket retailers or do a test fit to make sure the spoke design clears the caliper regardless of offset.

Hartmann sells a variety of 20x9 +40 to +25 offset oem replicas that should fit, though the +25 offset might be too aggressive for some. They not only use stock ball-set lug bolts but also use oem audi center caps. I will likely go this route but will wait a few weeks before Hartmann can confirm SQ5 fitment.

Thanks Larry! A lot of great info.

I just added the SQ5 wheels to my little excel sheet - here you go for comparing the result of different widths and offsets:

(using the wheels I'll be getting on my car as a reference)

OEM RS4 wheels are 19x9 ET29. The brakes on the Rs4 are larger...any reason (looks aside) that a 19" wheel wouldn't work for snows?

Edit: from the thread linked to above:
19x7 ET 37 for winter tires

That will be my target.

Very well done, still missing next:
Q5:
19X8 ET 27
For SQ5
19x7 ET 37 for winter tires

I have Hartmann 20" wheels with the +40 offset on my Q5. At that offset, they look natural and could easily pass for OEM fitment.

OEM Rs4 wheels have a different center bore. No go.
