Well, the curse has finally been lifted....but not in a good way. Time to say goodbye to my baby.

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/38729/dsc00584.jpg"></center><p>I haven't had a good week. It started out with a speeding ticket. 2 days later this happened.

4 years of hell getting this car working and bam, it's lost in an instant. Insurance has deemed it a total lost, salvage. The absolute worst part is, I have no one to blame but myself...

Thankfully, no one else was involved or hurt, and surprisingly the only injury I got was a small cut on my hand from flying glass. Amazing how well made the car is. THe passenger side still looks like nothing happened. They said when I spun out, at one point I was skidding backwards up on 2 wheels, took out 2 roadside signs and a concrete streetlight pole. As for what happened, I'll just leave it at "extremely bad judgement".

Before you start flaming me, I absolutely realize what I did was stupid. I make no excuses and take full responsibility. The fact that this was entirely my own fault hurts me way more than the loss of my car. This was like a child to me. I can't sleep, was up for 56 hours the night it happened; just feel absolutely sick to my stomach.

In all probability, I'll be parting out the car, but nothing is finalized with the insurance yet. PLEASE, don't email me yet about what parts you may want to buy. I'm still not over this. I'll be making another post when the car (and I) am ready to part out.

Sorry to hear. Time to invest in driving schools (the kind on the track)

OldSkewS4 11-07-2006 12:25 PM

Bahn S4 11-07-2006 12:27 PM

Driving schools can be just as dangerous/expensive. I would know.

I can't believe that you...

installed the BPV's backwards - that's probably been the car's issue all along ;-)

Sorry to hear about the car, but happy that you're here writing about it. There always will be other cars.

Is that silver leather? I didn't know that car had silver, or was it changed at some point? or is that just the sun playing tricks on me?

Sorry to hear. Glad you are okay. Hate to lose a fellow Imola owner.... she was nice.
