Porsche Macan announcement from LA Auto Show
|
The Bloomberg article states the starting price for the Macan will be $49,900 but the starting price for the Cayenne this year is $49,600. Something isn't right there...
|
Pricing is also posted on AutoBlog:
http://www.autoblog.com/2013/11/20/2...pecs-pictures/ Just as the Macan embargo was up, Porsche updated its consumer site with basic pricing information for the new vehicle. The Macan S will start at $49,900, while the Macan Turbo asks an MSRP of $72,300. Thanks to all those that tipped in with the information. The S model will be fitted with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that makes 340 horsepower and will push the vehicle from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5.2 seconds, then on to a top speed of 156 miles per hour. The Macan Turbo has even more impressive figures on all fronts: an all-new, 400-horsepower, twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 engine; 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds; top speed of 164 mph. Both models make use of Porsche's seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission as standard. |
Like it a lot!
BTW, Porsche USA website already has the build feature up... |
Just speced one with metallic paint, pano roof, nav, headed seats, and that's about it. $57K. Comes reasonably close to the SQ5 which is probably the best comparison.
It's a shame they are holding out on the base, non-S model. That might actually come close to a Q5 3.0T in price. Within a couple thousand maybe. |

I like the video of the Macan being driven through Vancouver with the German plates.

Otherwise, I like it. Might trade the SQ5 for a Turbo in a couple of years if/when the gf gets tired of it. |
