When is the new Q7 coming?

When is the new Q7 utilizing the new Touareg/Caynenne lightweight platform coming out? Any information on dates and feature changes?

Goes into production in 2014 so expect it August. Meanwhile the Q6 is coming. My understanding of blogs, news and rumors there are also two new versions of the 3.0 TDI with twin turbo on the way. One is more economical and the other more powerful at 290hp but lower torque.
Q6?

?? Thought I had read that the light Q7 would be a 2013 model, so production would start in 2012. Are you saying to expect it in Aug. of 2014 or Aug. 2013? I wasn't planning on keeping my 2011 that long......

-thanks/ark

Im guessing August 2012, maybe August 2013 at the latest. You cant rely on model years. When the facelifted version came out it was in August 2009 although it was called a 2010 model Audi Q7. I reckon its August 2012 as Audi seems to change their models after 3 years. Also, the Q7 still has the old design lines whereas the other Audi's have been changed completely. Itll probably have a new grill, new lights and have a more defined shape to it.

A Q6, in the US at least, doesn't make sense based on AOA's marketing here. They seems to avoid overlap with VW models and my guess is that a Q6 would most definitely cut into Q5 sales which is a substantial margin vehicle. They won't even bring the Allroad here!!! If they DO bring the US an Q6 over an Avant A6... I'm starting NEW protest in NYC.

^^ I am pretty sure that when the refreshed A4 comes to our shores we won't be getting the avant anymore, but we would be getting the A4 Allroad...

I never mentioned Model Year I wrote "goes into production" so if the internet is correct we are probably talking about MY 2015.
Seems like a long time but the Q7 will have only been in production for 8 years by then.

I highly doubt you'll have to wait for 2015 my for an all new q7.

You are a year out as well!

Hey thanks for the info. Do you know which models will get the new diesel first?
