How to remove A6 Radiator Hose??!!!
 

How does one remove the radiator hose from a 2000 2.7t? I've gotten to it after losening the the 'lock carrier' , I have removed the retaining clip, but I cannot figure out how to get the hose apart - I seems that you'd just wiggle it out but I'm not getting anywhere.

WHAT IS THE SECRET?

Never Mind.... I got it....


but WOW! - - - I had read in a few other places that you need to pull back straight toward the engine until your sure it's gonna break.

That couldn't have been more true - I was figuring in my head budget for a new radiator when "POP" the hose came flying off. The only thing that broke were my knuckles!

I must say, I have never had to yank so hard and pry off so many plastic connectors and parts as I have had to on this Audi.

Don't get me wrong, I love the car, but my German heritage is beginning to question some of the wisdom of this German engineering...

For now, all is well.
