My in-car espresso dispenser - Roadjet inspired!

<center>"I am a coffee addict"</center>

When I first saw the new <a href="https://www.audiworld.com/news/06/naias/roadjet/content.shtml">Audi Roadjet Concept</a> I fell in love immediately... the curves, the 300hp, the molded race seats, the cool rear seat <a href="http://gallery.audiworld.com/gallery/roadjet2/naias06077"><b>espresso dispenser</b></a>!

But like a typical <a href="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/80426/kim3.jpg">impatient Audi Enthusiast</a> I don't want to wait for it to hit the streets. I have the mod bug real bad and decided I wanted an espresso dispenser in my car <b>now</b>!

So, I took my Capresso 1500 and mounted it in the rear seat of my C5 A6 (2001 A6 2.7T)! I used an ISOFIX tie-down point to secure the coffee machine since I don't want to mess up the leather or launch the 8kg coffee machine on the road.

Luckily, I had a spare <a href="http://www.dcacpowerinverters.com/customkititems.asp?kc=PBI2300-2AWG">12vDC to 110vAC inverter</a> around the house for this mod. Be sure to use an inverter with a sufficient continuous power rating (my Capresso unit pulls 1450 watts). I'll end up mounting the inverter below the CD changer. I ran the power cable under my trunk mat and between the 60/40 seat split.

But, what you really want to see is the final install photos!

Luckily the Capresso unit is almost a dead-on match for the Light Silver metallic of my A6!

Can you tell my driveway is on an incline? I may have to empty my water tank during my G-tech runs.

Note how the cup holders molded into the rear seat bottom work perfectly for
my Saeco cappucino cups.

My first espresso from my new mod! Notice the rich crema.

YOU ARE MY HERO

seriously, i would kill for a tap in the dash that dispensed hot coffee.

and maybe a straw coming from the visor that connected to a 40oz in the trunk (so no open container in the car)

Seek professional help with a therapist who owns an Audi ;-))

At least they will understand and be able to help you...

Truly inspired! And the machine doubles as an arm warmer/armrest for rear seat passengers...
