Folks with CVT C7s how are yours holding up?

CVT C7 owners how are your cars doing? I am seeing tons of these on the road but I am not finding much information on the forums or any other place online on how these are holding up long term.

Our CVT C7 has 14k miles and has only gotten two oil changes done. Been trouble free and a great vehicle, love it everyday, very smooth and comfy. I declined the 15k mile service as it seemed like highway robbery for stuff I could DIY myself within 15 minutes. I was reading the forums earlier and found the C6 CVT/B8 CVT had some issues later on and nearly cost the owners 10k to replace the CVT out of warranty.

Although the C7 uses a newly designed CVT I am not sure what to do after the warranty ends. Anyone know of good extended warranties for Audi, does Audi offer them like BMW does? I am not sure what to do after the warranty ends, I have 2.5 years to make a choice. Was thinking of trading it in because the CVT concerns me, wasn't aware about how costly a repair that is.

Any info appreciated.

Very embarrassing I typed "yours" in the title instead of they. Thats what I get for typing so late in the office LOL. I don't see a edit button anywhere, how does one edit the post?

I forgot to mention the C7 is our third car and it does not get much use. It is seldom driven unless going on a long road trips. That is why the mileage is so low in almost two years and only 14k miles.

My 2012 model year CVT has also just passed 15,000 miles with no problems with the transmission or anything else on the entire car. I love the smoothness of the CVT and I'm getting amazing gas mileage with it--31 mpg averaged over the entire 15k miles!

I am trying to baby the multiplate clutch though by always starting off lightly. That seems to be a point of failure on older models.

Don't forget there is a CVT fluid change scheduled at 35k miles which you should definitely get done.

For some reason, you have to request edit rights on this forum.

I have a 2011 A4 w/ CVT at just over 41k. I have not had any issues with the tranny. I have Audicare and had the CVT fluid change at 35k.

I am in the same boat deciding what to do before 50k rolls around.

I'm leaning towards trading in on a CPO vehicle to get a longer warranty on the next go.
