Replacing keyfob battery reprogramming required?

Hey guys new here, just bought a gently used 2006 A6. Right now I have 1 working key the original and a brand new and cut key that just needs to be programmed. The battery in the original key seems to be dead, I get no actions when pushing the buttons. I saw how to replace the battery but was wondering if I would have to reprogram anything after I replace the battery in it. I saw a thread about a C5 A6 and it gave a bunch of steps on programming after replacing the battery which seemed unnecessary.

Unfortunately I don't have owners manuals right now the car didn't have them. I ordered a set off eBay and they are n their way. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you for the reply! So from the second link, the 1 and only partially working key I have, the one with th dead battery I should be able to put a new battery in and then follow these steps?

Steps to reprogram keys to a car they are already linked to:
1. Press and hold the unlock key on a remote
2. Insert key in ignition and turn to on (while still holding unlock)
3. Hold unlock while in the on position for 2 seconds
4. Turn key to off, remove from ignition and release button.

Do this for each remote. Relink to seat positions (press and hold mem position #, then unlock button for 2 seconds and release both) and done.
