Partial Side view of engine attached to Eddie Current Dyno, Cooler Retarder can be seen at rear.

Eddie Current offers some great advantages over the more common waterbreak engine dynos.

Does not suffer from Flare and overshoots.

Plus Load can be placed on engine from 500 rpm, whilst waterbreak dyno typically from 2500rpm.

Which makes street drivability tuning a breeze.

Engine has passed its 30 minute Bed and seal cycle, quick snap shot showed at 3950 prm 269Gt torque, and at 4450 rpm got 348 Ft/lb torque, and showed it just hit 1 bar of boost.
on Premium Pump Fuel

So tonight the fun begins with tuning and see what controlled levels of power can be made.

Its interesting that even whilst under bed in load cycle, the wealth of info i was getting from EGT sensors, and i played with individual injector fueling and acheieved consistant and even egt from every pot.

More to come later including maybe a Vid if anyone is interested.

Re: You are going to straighten the wiring ? Right

You can try as you want, but its always looks like a mess when on a engine dyno.

A400 03-03-2006 04:42 PM

Its been 16 yrs since I had an engine on a Clayton engine dyno, and they didnt have nearly as much

wiring as these do and we didnt know as much either. Didnt even have FI so the wiring was very simple. Just pulling your chain. Did you get the 60-2 wehhl and sensor to work on your setup Friend had some problems and finally put crank triggers on, actually 2 diff guys. Get me off list as I am very curious, and also want to ask you some ? on your earlier chip experience with the stock timing setups.
How you going with the new money sucker so far?
