normal oil temp?
 

My normal oil temp that the car always goes to is 200.. it never moved above that for the 9 months i owned the car. but the last two days after i drove 30 highway miles to get to work it slightly went above the 200 mark and i also smelled something burning.. it sort of smelled like rubber and oil burning.. it wasnt a usual smell.

200F oil temp isn't "hot". You may have finally gotten the car up to operating temp and something on the exhaust was burning off.

My car runs right around 212F - 215F.

there was a new borla unresinated put on the car right before i bought it.. maybe i just broke it in
