2014 A4 18" tires
 

Today I observed the tires on a 2014 A4 were Pirelli P7 Cinturato all seasons. They are not all season Plus, because the plus is not made in the proper size to fit the Audi. The A4 2013's were equipped with Pirelli P6's which were near the bottom of the owners survey list on Tirerack Grand touring all season. It is about time Audi placed a good all around tire on a $45000 car! The P7's were tested by Tirerack last fall against 3 other tires. It appears from the Pirelli website that the P7 Cinturato all season tire was released fall of 2012.

They're saving a few bucks here and a few bucks there. The P6 has to be the worst tire ever reviewed in the AW forums as well. They must have signed a terrific multi-year deal with Pirelli.

Pirelli can't make anything but a calendar. Even the Pzero Rosso's on my Ti package wheels died a miserable howling death after only 18k miles. Same thing happened to the P6's on my wife's A3. Our inside joke is that Audi is saving double money since the leasee gets crappy tires to start, and Audi gets a good half-used set when the lease gets turned back in. it's a hell of a racket ;)

No kidding, I am replacing my P6's this week. I ordered Continental Extreme Contact DW and can't wait to get them installed Friday!!
