Factory ipod connection no power
 

My new to me 2004 allroad has an iPod connector but no power going to it. It functions correctly otherwise but I just don't get a charge. Is it perhaps my model of iPod or is there something wrong

What iPod do you have? It doesn't support some of the latest apple products. I havea 2005 Allroad with an iPod connector. It does not charge my iPhone (4), nor my wife's iPhone 4S. It doesn't charge my new iPod touch. But it plays music from all of them.

It's just the nature of the connector. Don't fret about it. Charge it at home, and then play your music ;)

Thanks. iPod is is a mini both with a camera and the one before it. I don't know the model. I guess I should look for one from 2003/4 era on eBay!
