130,000 mile service

Anyone know what are the major components that are replaced or checked on the 130,000 mile service?

Timing belt, water pump, cam tensioners, valve cover gaskets, spark plug seals on valve cover, cam tensioner gaskets, spark plugs/wires, oil change, coolant change, power steering fluid change.

Put the car on jack stands
Throw it in reverse
Put a rock on the accelerator
and wait.

Crisis averted.

Sorry, but for OP this response is way off.

Start with the car has no conventional plug wires, so that didn't even apply to a D3 at all.

Many of the other things mentioned are common with the timing belt service, but that interval was back at 75K. To get on top of what needs to be done currently, you need to start with the car's history first. 130K miles would be between major intervals, if the last major one (105K miles as I remember on 4.2's) was actually done.

Here's a quick page from the bentley manual showing the major service intervals and what should be checked/changed.

how do you reset the service light indicator?

Need VAG-COM. Cannot be done...

via instrument cluster as on some older Audi's.

What I would do... Filters :) Plugs every 50-60k. All based upon what was done previously. I keep up on my maintenance and change things when they are actually needed.
