I've had some issues with locking actually. Sometimes I can't get the touch sensor to let me lock the car. Unlocking hasn't really been an issue. I told my dealer during my last service and they said they couldn't replicate the issue.

Nothing in the TSB for a 2013 S6? Thanks for checking.

Thanks midnite! This confirmed my experience with the door sensors which occasional fails to lock my driver door. Workaround - use my key FOB.

I haven't had problems in cold weather, but when I wash my car, the door constantly locks and unlocks itself when the hose stream hits the door handle. I can believe the design is very touchy in all sorts of conditions.

My driver's door often fails to react to a push to lock. I end up giving up and pushing the one on the rear door. :( What I need to try is having just my keys in that pocket (no wallet) since RFID might be getting blocked.

Related but has it happened to you that you pull the door handle and the door opens without making any chirp noise nor lights, and you just realized you left the car unlocked? But the mirrors were folded and everything.
And because if you touch the handle again (to make sure it is locked) you unlock the car, there is no way to make sure but pressing the lock button in the key.
Luckily the several times I left my car unlocked on the street nobody decided to take anything from inside.
Maybe the mean face of the A7 deterred the bad guys.

Interesting. On m my Lexus cars if you unlock but don't open a door it will relock after 30 seconds. I can't believe vag missed that safety feature.

Fw: Advanced key problem

Does anyone know how to bypass one of the door sensor (found one of the door sensors crack and caused the system not working) and keep the others work again?
