Access To MMI's HDD possible?

Hello! Many of you old users around here probably know me, in which case hello again! For new A7 owners, welcome to the community and don't go away for a long time only to come back when you have a problem(Like I did, shame on me).

I have an A7, and all my music is stored on the HDD of the MMI. I don't know which one it is exactly, but it's the one with a big screen and without google earth navigation. The maps are loaded by default from the factory into the hdd, if that's any help!

I had a big problem with iTunes Match and I ended up loosing my entire collection of music stored by Apple in the Cloud. By now you probably see where I'm headed.

Now, all my collection is stored solely on the car's hard drive and I am asking if there is any possible way of accessing the HDD unit and connecting to a computer(SATA, ATA, etc) in order to recover my music.

Thank You very much in advance!

AM, I am not the expert here, but my understanding is that VAG.com (VCDS) can enable HDD access through MMI.

Again, others are better equipped to discuss the intricacies of recording to and from the HDD onto SIM, SD card, or other storage devices. Others are also more experienced with VAG.

Good luck, hope you can retain your music library. Presume you have exhausted all efforts with Apple?
