SQ5 - Winter Beast Mode

It's been getting cold here so I had the winter wheels thrown on last night.

Looking good. Hope you get the traction you need. Steve

Where are you located? Let us know how the 20's are in the snow. I think everyone else here runs 17" to 19" for snows, but recently I've seen some interest from new SQ5 owners in putting on 20" snow tires.

20x9 wheels from Tire Rack with Blizzak LM-60's Looks like a great winter setup. I'm normally not a huge fan of black on black wheels, but for winter I'm more than fine with it. :) I went with silver 19" peelers from Hartmann for my setup. I would have preferred "titanium" over the silver, but they were OoS with like a 6month ETA. Anywhoo, I'll be getting mine installed this weekend - will post pics. |
Awesome, I like the peelers too but had them on my S4 so I wanted a change.

laakness - Looks great! I'm not usually a huge fan of black wheels, but that looks pretty dang stealth. :)
I'm in WI as well, but holding out until I see the white stuff to swap on the Blizzaks (here's to hoping for December!). -tgt |

Luckily in MA I have some more time. I usually do the swap during Thanksgiving weekend if I'm not traveling. |

Temperature is actually a better indicator to swap your tires; not when the white stuff falls. Once average high temps consistently fall below 50 degrees you should put on your winter wheels because the rubber on all-seasons don't perform well below that temp.
