17544 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Add): System too Lean : Need help
 

Hi,

I have that DTC. I had a vaccum leak before. I fix it and it remove other codes. I now only have that one left.

What should I check on my 98 AUDI A4 1.8T Quattro to fix the error?
My symptom is a lack of acceleration. High cost in gas.

Injectors are good, no leak and O2 seams ok.

Someone told me to look at my MAF. How should I test? I clean it with brake cleaner in the past and no change. I have a VAG-COM ver 409.

So I guess I still have a vaccum leak with the (add) detail that I have. I hate leak! :)

Fuel Trim info "help" page . . Images would be helpfull.
 

Fuel trim info page talks about 2 fields in block 32.

When I measure that block on my 2.8, I'm seeing 4 fields each with different values.

For me, I've got 3.1%, -3.1%, 2.3% and -5.1% . I get about 150 g/s on my MAF reading before readline.

Sure would be nice to have more detailed examples of possible scenarios for diagnosis.
