Upper Radiator Hose Removal

Hello,

New here, I have a 05 A6 and I broke the nipple off of my upper radiator hose (see pic) so I've ordered the new hose, but I've never seen this type of coupler before. How do I remove this hose? I'm sure it's something simple, but before I destroy the radiator I thought I'd ask.

I've looked through the forum and didn't see anything but if I missed it, please point me in the right direction.

I can't see much detail on your picture. Is this the setup?

Yes, that helps a lot. The nipple snapped off with hardly any pressure, so I'm glad it happened in my driveway and not on the road.

Thanks

Thanks!

Thanks guys, this thread really helped me out.. The nipple on my radiator hose broke off as well and I freaked seeing all of the antifreeze leaking out of my car, but it's all fixed now thanks to this thread!

Thanks Again
