First Post: I just ordered a Q5.

Hey guys,

I just ordered a Q5 for my wife. It should arrive in about 12 weeks.

We ordered a Black 3.0T with Sunroof delete, Sports Interior and 5 spoke wheels. I wanted the S Line Plus pack but she didn't dig the wheels.

We got a 6% discount off of MSRP because of an Audi supplier agreement. Do you think that's a pretty fair price? It amounts to about a $3k discount.

Anywho, I'm excited to be joining the Audi club.

Welcome to the (usually) wonderful world of the Q5. With the invoice price about 7% below sticker, I'd say you got a good deal. Now the long wait begins, in the meanwhile you can hang around the board and see what other Q5 owners are experienceing. Steve

congrats on the new Q. the waiting is he hardest part. since you ordered and have to wait anyway, is there a reason you didn't do european delivery?

Why do you say "usually wonderful" world of Audi? Am I in for reliability issues? It's not too late for me to cancel!

Yes. We live in Texas and Euro delivery didn't make sense for us. There's no way we could travel in the delivery timeframe.

As you browse the forum, you will find threads of issues. This is were the "usually" comes into play. I think most of us are quite happy with our units and would specify "wonderful" world of Audi. But as with any car by any manufacture, you just never know. I would not sweat reliability issues. I would concentrate on the delivery countdown and just plan on enjoying your ride.

We have had ours for about 7 weeks and have been enjoying it. A great ride, fun to drive, and nice to look at. This is our first Audi (or any German car for that matter) and first SUV (CUV?).

congrats on your order! we just ordered my SQ5 yesterday. they estimate 18 weeks or so until delivery. an earlier estimate was 14 weeks. i hope it's the latter.
