Audi A6 Adaptive Xenon Headlights Help!
Hello All, Usually I am able to get answers to all my questions without ever having to raise a question because it's always there however I was unable to search for my current issue.
I have Audi A6 3.0 S-Line TDI on 2006 (06). Keeping a long story short, lets just say, I have damaged headlights and they both need replacing. (I currently have Adaptive Xenon headlights). I've looked far and wide and am unable to find the same headlights with 'Adaptive' functionality (Short of paying ridiculous £££ at the dealers) for a reasonable price. There does seem to be lots of Xenon headlights with 'DRL' (Daylight Running LED) from facelift Audi's on fleebay however none have Adaptive functionality. I am told the fittings are the same, but can some one please tell me if I can fit them straight on to the car (Considering my last ones had adaptive functionality) or will my car throw up an error? If it does, is there an easier way to do this and use DRL Xenons Really struggling to find an answer and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. |

Maybe if you have a vagcom you just remove that functionality out if the car. But I bought mys a couples month ago they wasn't with DRL but have the adaptive functionality and only cost me $350.00 dollars OEM

I have an 08 with Adaptive headlights and it is a module on the side of the headlight body that you should be able to take off your old body and plug into your new headlight body.

Question on adaptive headlamp failure on 2005 Audi A6
My x-wife barely bumped a car in the front last year, no damage whatsoever to our car, and got this adaptive light failure.
I think the dealer told her that the headlamp needs to be replaced, does that mean the adaptive module is OK? BBallfreak;
I have the same issue but on the left side; wondering if you found the solution? Do you need the whole light assembly or just the control modules? |
