V1 (or other) Radar Detector hardwire?
Where are folks hard-wiring their radar detectors? Homelink in the S6 looks like it's in the roof now, so my old installation method doesn't seem like it's going to work this time around.
Any hints, tips, tricks, been-there-done-that to share? TIA, Richard |

Search all forums for V1 hardwire, you will find a couple of good threads that helped me when I installed mine.
FWIW, I ended up using an add-a-fuse tap into the drivers side fuse box and running the wire up the pillar and in the headliner to my detector location rather than tapping into the wiring from the homelink (which is also a fairly simple option). |

I'm installing a Bel STiR Plus along with a Blinder HP-905 in January.
Going to have the display unit stealth-installed inside the rearview mirror. Will display from behind the mirror glass. |

Please do a write up with a few pics very interested in this. And how is your audio install going by the way??
Just got my 8" midbass speakers for the front doors, and have ordered my subwoofers. Going with two Dynaudio Esotar 1200 subwoofers, in a trunk baffle. |

Is that homelink connector the same across models?
The two notable differences mentioned were that some people could not pick up the ground connection the way I did and the disassembly of that overhead panel varies from model to model. |

They have been very similar in the cars I've looked at.
