S5 Performance ECU Upgrade
Searched the site and couldn't find any information.
Looking to see what ECU or chip upgrades are available for the 2010 S5. I've seen companies claim up to +50hp and +5mpg, etc. Anyone know of a reputable company, pros and cons? Thanks in advance. |
I always recommend Stasis as an ECU or aftermarket part package. They generally take a little bit longer to release their upgrades and they're a little bit more expensive. The payoff for that little extra and the wait, however, is a validated warranty.
If anything goes wrong with the vehicle that Audi credits to aftermarket parts, Stasis will step up and cover the original manufacturer's warranty. As far as the exact upgrades, I have yet to see their predicted results for the 2010 models. I know that APR released a chip for my car (2.0 A5) that claims with standard fuel you can get a 64 TQ and 35 HP gain with available programming to gain 78 TQ and 62 HP with 100 octane fuel. I can only imagine what they'll eek out of an S5 I expect Stasis to report slightly less impressive numbers, but I'd like to keep my warranty. |

Thanks Joey, I'll look into those guys. I also saw that MTM has an ECU upgrade as well as an upcoming SC kit for the S5 V8
I'm getting the 2010 Coupe V8 |

Stasis has the worst website ever. Unreadable and unusable.

Was there a reason why the Coupe didn't get a V6 SC motor?
|
I've heard plenty of speculation, but as far as I can tell it's the same reason that they've staggered their TDI release and cut the 3.2 from the A4 lineup; gauge market reaction and adjust accordingly.
According to the rumormill (at least that I've heard) they're now planning on putting the V6 SC in the coupe for 2011 |
