HELP!!! Airbag removal passenger side.
 

I have used the hanes manual and several other online write ups and keep running into issues where my model differs and there seem to be no instructions. I am removing the dash to get to the blend door as my AC is not blowing cold and foam is shooting out the vents. I have been told that everything seems to be in order with the system and the issue is likely a deterioration of this foam allowing hot air to blow through with the cold and thus it blows air just slightly colder than the outside temp. Please any help will be greatly appreciated and I am sure useful to many others trying to preform this. The issue I am stuck on now is the air bag cover/ airbag will not come out. The haynes says 4 bolts on the bottom and pry it out. this is not working. other write ups say the cover pops off the top and there are screws in the vent. not the case here. I destroyed the cover trying this. it is a 1996 a4 2.8
