I have owned 3 Audis and the tape player broke on all
of them. Got tired of it with the A4, bought a concert II.

I got dream police tape stuck in my symphony, now that's embarrassing...
My radio used to make this click whenever the radio turned on (IE whenever the car started) and I thought, "well the only thing that moves mechanically in the radio is the tape player, so I'll stick one in." Found cheap trick in my dad's toolchest and stuck it in. It won't play (or eject), it clicks (like 10 times ina second) and moves in the player, then gives up and goes back to radio. I still got assured warranty, so I'll go pay 50 bucks to have them remove the damned tape.( already tried rippin' it out with needlenose pliers) won't budge.

Wait, so that thing is not a tissue dispenser?

Same problem, was told it needed to be replaced.
And then they wanted $250. Thanks, Audi, but for $250, I'll buy a REAL radio.

What's a "tape cassette"?
I didn't know people still used tapes! =)
|
who the hell listens to cassettes anymore? ;)
that sucks. you might have to deal with it

Find a stereo shop and bring the car in
I would bet that they could get it out in 5 minutes because of dealing with so many of them. Sorry, might cost a couple of bucks, cheapskate.

I did the same thing
My radio clicks, so i figured I'd stick a tape inside and see what happens. Took me 45 minute to remove the radio and crack open the case to get it out.
