2.8 30v Tip Owners...How many miles are you getting out of a tank of gas on average???

I'd have to check my spreadsheet but anywhere from 18-23mpg, I don't do full tank #s

I did get better mpg once I did the change from a stock to a modded MAF. I later did the GIAC engine chip and recently the tip-chip. I'll have to see if there is any change in those #s. I doubt they are worse than stock though...and I feel a difference on my butt-dyno.

I was getting 15.8 then I bought one of those torando things off of eBay and now I get a little over 16. Still ****ty gas mileage though..

WOW... lots of non-highway driving?

I have a crappy commute, followed by some better highway driving (only about 30% of my overall driving), but I get about 18-19 MPG even with mostly city driving.

I drive a manual, if its worth anything. You mileage seems really, really low.

should I get any of them?
1)GIAC engine chip(10HP) for 2.8V6 right?
can you see diff in acceleration?
2)what about TIP chip?

I also get like 19.5MPG 80high way/20city
--any suggestions where I should check
(I have VAG,but dont know where to check)???

Thanks

I think so (more)

I like the GIAC chip on a 2.8 Tip. I haven't done any before/after timed runs so I can't be sure if it makes it much faster. The butt-dyno tells me it pulls 'better'. I don't notice a flatspot in the power curve anymore.
If you drive aggressively, then the tip-chip is the way to go. Makes the car shift much more 'sporty' I am happy with my choices, heck they were only $500'ish.

I get around 320, but since my cat converter started breaking up...around 275
