Dupont and Spies Hecker Paint

turn out Dupont bought Spies Hecker last year
and now they are one happy family..
i am more happy with my body shop with dupont
paint because dupont actually have a PRODUCT code for all our audi color... they have merge for a year and have been cross marketed.. through you guys may want to know when you take to body shop.. as not too many spies hecker paint shop around(well at least in norcal)

Woooo Hoooo... This makes me feel better about them matching my paint on my Silver baby....

I took it to diablo auto body,concord, california -- which is diablo audi body shop
 

at first i thought they are audi shop so i took it there..since they also will do my carbon fiber hood and rear wing in one shot!

when i got there i found out they are Farmer Collision center shop i say oh ****... they will do ****ty... then Jim (audiworld) told me to use Spies Hecker paint.. and i ask them what kind of paint they used and they said "Dupont".. I GO ****!!!

upon more research Dupont not only bought Spies Hecker for a whole year.. trading formula and know how... they also have collebrate signicantly and even come up with plan like the one above with how to use each other paint to match perfectly.. so i am pretty happy.

Scott there more or less took care of me:

$800 for the hood(not that good a deal)
$25 for the rear wing(m3 lip spoiler) special deal for doing the hood
$169 to do the mirror take it apart and paint it all pearl.

i still have to do $1000 deductable(for the 2 separate but minor collision.... he is SUCH a nice guy and the only reason i let him do it... let see if his paint job stand up to it.

if you guys do repair please use the color chart above.. and open yourself to Dupont paint a whole new ball game!
