I c that the pic below is for the TDI. Is the TFSI same? Also, is the 2.0 chain as well?

Good catch. I'll see if I have a chart for the TFSI engine.

edit: I didn't find a chart for the 3.0L TFSI so I went to a parts store and they sell a timing chain for the 2012 A6 engine.

apologies for the (misplaced) thread hijack, but this seems like a good place to ask: does the 2008 A8 2.8FSI use a timing chain or belt?

I'll try the Tech Forum... the quesiton relates to an A8, not an A6: I have an A6-C7, but I'm asking on behalf of a friend who has an A8 and thought this thread looked like it had people with access to the right tech pages to answer the question.
