Clicking noise when I hit brake, need help

Hi,
I need help if someone ever experienced the clicking noise when you hit the brake, when I drive slow and start hit the brake I heard clicking (just one click, everytime I hit brake) noise that I can hear inside the car. The sound came from the front passenger side wheels, but I noticed there's nothing leaking or torn in front axles, Is it the wheel bearings goes bad that made the sound or something else? Thanks for your help.

Al

Front passenger wheels? you ahve a 4x2? lol

Just sounds like some sand in the brakes...hit them hard one or two times, see if it stops!

See my post down below....

You may have a brake pad come loose from the backing plate and this will give you a click.

does it sound like a clap? i think i have the same sound, everytime it happens, i imagined a clap between the brake pad and rotor, but im not even sure if thats the actual cause of the sound.

have you replaced the pads recently?
did you use aftermarket pads?
we see this type of sounds a lot and usually is the pads been shorter than the original parts

Have you checked all the suspension bushings? I just had my car in with roughly the same noise, only at slow speed, and they replaced to 2 bushings and the noise is completely gone.

Not a cheap fix FYI.

I had a similar click in my car, and I checked everythin, but all was OK, untill one day, brake light came on the cluster, so I checked the brake fluid and the level was low. I refilled it, and since that day I never heard that click anymore. try this

I’m experiencing something like that now.i have a 2011 q7tdi and just got my calipers painted literally three days ago.today when I was driving it was fine .i parked went into a store came out put the car in reverse and as I pressed the brakes all for corners gave me a clink sound(what sounds like metal hitting metal).it was just one clink not continuous.so what I did was put the car in drive and pressed the brake and all for corners gave me the same clink sound.so I figured if you’re going forward and want to reverse it will give that noise and vise versus because whatever the direction of the rotation of the rotors are at that time is changed it will give that noise .i thought the guy didn’t tighten up my calipers.i DONT know what it could be any thoughts ?
