Do sway bars really make a difference?

Before I add them to an '04 S4 ...It is a heavy car - can 2 sway bars help? How much - 20%, 30% ... more? Cheers! |

Just a rear bar?
I noticed you have an H-Sport rear sway bar.
Does that mean no front is needed? Thanks for the reply! |
When i bought my STaSIS coilovers they recommended just using the rear
bar with my setup. If you are keeping the OEM Sport suspension i would buy the set and install the set. It will keep it more balanced.
Plus you don't save much money just buying the rear and they are also harder to come by. STaSIS includes them if you ask for them when you get suspension. Hope that helps. |
Well...StaSIS use to recommend no changes to the rear bar...
They said their suspension compensates for it. I guess it all depends on what car you got..what suspension version you got...you know..the variables.

jason set me up with SS's and the 22mm rear bar for my B6.

Re: Just a rear bar?
Audis (as with most cars) have incredible understeer. A stiffer rear sway bar will reduce the understeer somewhat. So if you have sport suspension to start with, I recommend replacing only the rear bar.

With Street sports? I can see that...
With Motorsports...maybe not.
