To those with Symphony II and an iPod adapter
Tried to install my Enfig iPod adapter (Enfig house brand as recommended by their tech folks), everything is good until I tried to slide my headunit back.
http://enfigcarstereo.com/ENFIG_VWT_CIP_AUX.html I have all the wiring complete, tested, and tucked away in what space is available behind the HVAC and the sides. However the actual box of the iPod adapter is preventing the headunit from clipping back in. Where did you all tuck this box? Be it the Dice, Dension, USA Spec or etc? Thanks! |
I put my DICE adaptor just outside the glovebox, above the glovebox, bolted to the glovebox. Handy because I had to replace the #%% thing once. 02S6

Thanks for the tip.
In case anyone is confused as to where to install an iPod/iPhone adapter in a C5 A6, here are some pics: First dropped the glovebox: http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg19/...pg&res=landing Taped up the Enfig unit (yours could be Dice, USA Spec, Grom...etc) http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg51/...pg&res=landing The Enfig unit came with a heavy duty albeit overkill 8 gauge iPod cable....about 6 ft long. Had to tuck it away in the glovebox too. http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg823...pg&res=landing Tuck all the wire connectors in the small cubicle to the right of the headunit. http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg52/...pg&res=landing Re-assemble and end result! http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg694...pg&res=landing Also Enfig had DIY videos apparently, would have been nice if they mentioned this ahead of time...could save me and many others a lot of time! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-asduq8Dh8A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFFswo7QxSo |
