Brake pad wear sensor
 

I know I need to do the front brakes on my A4. I have not done them on this car yet. The wear sensor light came on yesterday. My questions... Is the sensor part of the replacement pad? If not, now that mine has caused the indicator to go off does that mean it needs to be replaced along with the pads? Thanks!!!

There is a thin wire in the front pads. When you wear down a pad the wire will wear away and open the circuit and the light comes on. You have about 1000 miles left to the pad at this point.

Also, the sensor wire should be included in the new pad you buy. As you can see from any of our wide pad selection each set includes the new sensor wire.
