Issue with my SkyView- Updated pic

Skyview on my new 2006 A3 3.2Q blow up.
It was making strange noises for a couple of days then last night while i was driving it just blow up.

you should definitely get some compensation for this as it will take a long time to fix.

No one else has had this problem have they?

Hopefully they wont have to replace the entire sunroof because from what I remember its glued in place and is not something generally done by the dealership but rather by a body shop.

In the meantime waiting for audi rep to go over my car since they are staiting tis bs never happend before. But my insurance paying for fixing this bs.
any i'll post a follow-up.
You guys just be aware of this problem I hope it will never happend to any one.

you mentioned that it had been making noise, what kind of noise? also, when it blew up, how exactly did it happen?

if you tinted your sunroof glass that most likely would've caused it...
 
because the glass is tempered, just like the windshield, and when the tint dries and shrinks it puts stress on the glass and can cause it to explode almost exactly like what you describe.
