how to only turn on electrical system?

once noticed window rolled down when engine stopped by push button. Have to push button to start engine, then roll up window.

In good old days, can use key to turn on only electrical system while not starting the engine.

is there a way in c7 a6??

If you push the button half way, it is equivalent to turn on only electrical system.

Thanks! I hope the button has some feed back as to what is halfway:)

Just press the button with your foot off the brake.

Thanks in advance for some side questions:

my 2012 has a production date of April 2012. First owner leased it for 14 months.

It looks like I still have Google Earth Map and Traffic info working.

If I keep using them, how does billing work?

No half way press with the C7. Like Mike said, just press button with your foot off the brake to activate car without starting the engine. Equivelent to the days of yore ACC key position.

I'm assuming the Google map you're seeing is not just a local cache and you have access to all of the Audi Connect services like Online Destinations, etc. as well as Sirius Traffic. (Audi Connect and Sirius traffic with or w/o radio are from two different providers).

If the previous owner didn't cancel his acct., there's no telling how long it will work before requiring a new acct. He may have opted for the prepaid T-Mobile Audi Connect 30 month (plus 6 free) plan which means you may have the Google stuff for awhile. Or if he was paying month to month, he'll get the charge on his credit card and will surely cancel. If that happens, you'll have to contact T-Moble to set up a new acct or use one of the other pay for use companies like P-Tel or TruPhone. (Search the forum for info on the different Audi Connect T-Mobile provider options).

The traffic comes from Sirius and for 2012 models it's $4 @ month. The prev owner may have prepaid for some period of time so again, if and when it stops you'll have to contact Sirius. Same with Sirius radio if you have it working now and want it to continue; if it's working, he may have prepaid for a year on the radio so it could stop at any time if he cancels it for a partial refund or when the current subscription expires.

When I do that the car fires up like it is running without engine, so in my garage the lights and such come on, they real need an "Accessories" position. I have not tried the half way push yet as there is not detente in the travel to know, but I will give that a try.

I don't think there is a detente. I don't think it has an accessories position.
