Help! Newbie doing oil change and spark plugs!

It's a 2001 Audi A4 1.8L. Are there any special adapters I need to lift the car? Do I have to do anything more than the norm to do an oil change considering it is a turbo? If so, what? An what spark plugs are recommended for me to use? (This is just a simple maintenance)

PLEASE HELP!!!

Use ramps to raise the car or make sure you have jacks stands placed correctly. Review lift points in the owner's manual or find them online. Google is a good resource.

Use synthetic oil of the recommended weight, 5w40 I think. Do NOT overfill.

Use a Mann oil filter or NAPA Big Kahuna. Easier to get at the oil filter if you lift the coolant reservoir off and out of the way. No need to drain it just lift and rotate so you can reach down and get at the filter.

I use iridium single electrode plugs and they seem to last. Your friendly auto parts store will have a guide for the correct plugs. Don't skimp on them!

Have fun!

Always use jack stands or ramps when getting under your car. And use the larger oil filters for the 1.8T. I have a torque wrench for the when I put the new spark plugs in to torque back down to spec. I also put some anti-seize on the threads. If you're STOCK use OEM spark plugs.
