I want a 3.0TDI A4 Avant!
 

I have a VW v10tdi, loved my a4 1.9tdi on hire in europe and want a small TDI here. Per AOA they're saying we should here something later this year.

I bought the touareg, b/c I couldn't get an audi TDI. I wanted a awd TDI, get as good mileage as my last car, '97 A8, or better. and the same/greater torque.

Are you saying you heard AOA might Diesel out the A4 in 2007 or 08?

what I read or they made brief note on was diesel options late this year. they didn't specify whicch model yet. I imagine the 3.0tdi Q7 will be first.

I believe the lack of ULSD or BD here was a determining factor...but then again why did they continue the vw tdis'?

Once the TDI's in country are gone they are gone for some time
 

Read a recent news blip somewhere that VW/Audi can not reach the new emission stds in the US so they stopped production/US distribution until late 2007 or 2008 time frame.

I've also heard there is a new common rail fuel injected (fsi like) engine planned in the the new release.

It all has to do with something about having to reach 100K miles without the consumer being required to do any or spend $$ on emissions work. They can't get there currently.

Lack of and or limited distribution of low sulfur fuel is also an issue as I understand it.
